Barcelona may be the perfect city. It’s an urban gem: compact, accessible, containing beautiful beaches as well as historic quarters, renovated sections that are tourist friendly without being blandly over commercialized.  Quaint cafes, milk bars and tapas restaurants appear at every turn.  It’s buildings, cathedrals and monuments are breathtaking.
